SDT brings the excitement and energy of live performances combining science concepts, music, improvisation, and comedy in original one-act plays.

SciProv! began on the museum floor in 1990 to bring science to the stage using improvisational theatre. Since then, SciProv! has performed shows on such themes as: astronomy, chemistry, earth science, marine biology, the human brain, the Sacramento-San Joaquin river delta, paleontology, wolves, whales, insects, and solid waste reduction and recycling.

SDT provides 300 performances a year to schools in the San Francisco Bay Area and throughout California. Auditions are usually held in late Fall.

The following SDT SciProv! shows are available for 1995 and 1996:

All-improv show:

• Be a Brainiac, Dude (K-2, 3-6, 7-8, 9-adult), the human brain

These shows contain improv as part of their program:

• Don't Panic, It's Oceanic (K-2, 3-6), marine biology
• Water Works (K-2, 3-6), water conservation
• Much Ado About Trash (3-6, 6-8), recycling

$445 for 2 performances, $495 for 3 performances, plus mileage
