Chicago City Limits has been performing it's unique style of comedy and improvisation for the past 16 years. The group was founded in Chicago by George Todisco and actors participating in the workshop program at The Second City. In 1979, Chicago City limits relocated to New York. The company performed regularly at Catch A Rising Star, The Improvisation, The Duplex and other clubs around town. It established it's own theatre in the summer of 1980 and began a continuos run of over 5000 performances. Of all New York productions, only "The Fantastiks" has been running longer. In addition, the Chicago City Limits National Touring Company performs at colleges, corporate events, and regional theatres throughout the country. The group has appeared at such diverse venues as Lincoln Center, The Smithsonian Institution, and the "Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon."
